Artist Biography

Danish-Argentinian guitarist Mark Solborg has since 2000 been active on the European scene as leader and co-leader of the groups Solborg 4+4+1, Mark Solborg Trio feat Evan Parker & Herb Rob- ertson, Maniscalco/Bigoni/Solborg (another lush collaboration with Bigoni), ON DOG, Solborg/Banke/ Heebøll, det rumlige surround-projekt Omdrejninger feat Axel Dörner & Ingar Zach, works for solo guitar, collaborations with Simon Toldam, Susana Santos Silva, Paul Lovens, Lars Greve, Thomas Lehn and many others. The versatile improviser and composer cherishes a personal and instrument-idiomatic approach to the guitar and has to date produced and released 20 albums with original music scores.
