Suzan Veneman is undoubtedly a rising star on the jazz firmament. Besides her trumpet playing, she also stands out as a composer and arranger. Comfortable in many genres of modern music, she can be seen playing with a wide variety of bands, including the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam Art Orchestra (Marike van Dijk), BvR Flamenco Bigband, Zack Lober’s ‘NO FILL3R’, the Undercurrent Trio, as well as her own ambitious projects ‘Zinder’ and the ‘Suzan Veneman Sextet’.
Suzan released three albums under her own name: “Migrations of the Mind” (2022), “Zinder” (2024) and her third album ‘The Art of Letting Go’ (2025). (All 3 albums are released on ZenneZ Records.) With her latest release Suzan returns to her sextet, presenting an album with original repertoire that is moving, heartfelt, stormy, loving, and authentic.
