Formed in 20024, Tumbao Bravo has been performing mostly original compositions for audiences primarily
in the Detroit/Toledo area as well as occasional tours in the San Francisco Bay area. Bandleader/founder/reedman/flutist Paul Vornhagen, manages, produces and composes for this fiery combo of accomplished Detroit area latin jazz musicians. Winner of three Detroit Music Awards, this band has been a mainstay on the Michigan jazz scene for over two decades. Our previous five recordings have been featured on all the top jazz programs on NPR. Our live performances demonstrate the joyful chemistry we bring to the stage every time!
