Haircut: 2082 AD is the second of four total albums culled from over 15 hours of improvised music. Listeners can expect John Ray’s fluid bass playing to provide a solid foundation, regardless of the straightaways and hairpin turns of the group’s collective consciousness. They can expect power and economy, tenacity and tenderness from timekeeper Jonathan Greene. And certainly the intuitive melodies and brilliant polyphony from Michael Kinchen, makes these sessions some of the finest ever manifested.
