Artist Biography

This is the King Louie Organ Trio’s debut CD, but the players are all NW greats. Louis Pain is an Oregon Music Hall of Fame inductee, having worked with most of the top NW blues, soul, & jazz artists as well as legends including Bernard Purdie, Martha Reeves, and Solomon Burke. Saxophonist Renato Caranto has toured with Esperanza Spalding & Merle Haggard. Mel Brown is a Motown & jazz legend himself. Bruce Conte recorded 7 albums with Tower of Power. Dan Faehnle toured with Diana Krall. And Edwin Coleman III is one of Portland’s top drummers.
