Since June, La Récré have been teasing their new EP, with two singles, L’An 2000 and Banger, recorded in Paris at Mastoïd Studios. These two tracks contain sonorities that the two artists qualify as “punk-jazz”, as their composition process is more “messy and trashy” than other jazz musicians.
On October 2nd, La Récré will release Ne Penser À Rien, a splendid 4-tracker skillfully mixing Rhodes and Moog keyboards over hip hop influenced rhythms. The artwork, videos and samples from 60’s interviews help the duo build their “old school” aesthetic, already felt on their first EP.
