The Sencalar/Glassman Quintet is comprised of co-leaders Altin Sencalar and Chris Glassman. The group has appeared at Jazz Tuesday’s at Moriarty’s Pub and Grill, Blue Llama Jazz and Supper Club, Cadieux Cafe, and curated the “Welcome Home” educational tour where the group performed and taught students jazz music at East Lansing elementary schools. The tour was centered around the Detroit jazz mantra “each one, teach one.” They have also appeared at the 2018 Lansing Jazz Festival, 2019 Detroit Jazz Festival, 2020 Mid Atlantic Jazz Festival, 2020 American Trombone Workshop, and named the 2020 Jazz Institute at Brevard “Artists in Residence.”
